What Is Drilling A Hole Well ?

1. Using special drilling tools/equipments (PDC bit ,DTH bit, Tricone bit or other drilling tools) to break up the rock in the ground to dig a well and reach the target formation, which is called drilling a well.

2. There are kinds of Wells for different purposes. The common drilling wells are vertical.The borehole drilled is vertical and so called a vertical well.it's always production wells.

Directional and horizontal well drilling:
The way of drilling along the pre-reaming horizontal boring line to reach the target formation is called horizontal directional well drilling.
Concerning HDD drilling, there are 4 drilling steps :
step1 – Drilling the Pilot Hole
step2 – Pre-Reaming the horizontal boring
step3 – Pullback Operations
step4 – Installation of Conduits

What Are the Kinds of Drilling
Generally ,We can say that the well depth ranges :

within 1,500m is a shallow well;

1,500-2,800m is a medium-deep well;
2,800-4,000m is a deep well;
Over 4000m are a ultra-deep Well;
